WHITE HOUSE LUNCHEON WITH THE PRESIDENT
ST. PATRICK'S DAY - MARCH 17, 2005
For a second year in a row, Terry Ryan, President and Founder of The Children of Ireland Group, Inc. was
invited to the White House for its annual St. Patrick's Day Luncheon with President Bush and his wife, Laura.
This event is attended by representatives from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the U.S. including
political and government leaders, Irish-American organizations, and companies and other individuals interested
in Ireland. Attendance is limited to approximately 150 people. While there, Terry, renewed prior friendships
and made new ones which hope to assist our organization's own efforts in helping Irish children. This year,
a news release was passed to attendees emphasizing our continued concerns regarding youth suicides in Northern
Ireland and was very well received.
