Our Purpose Statement:

"To purchase recreation and education equipment for community centres in Ireland, especially Northern Ireland, working with at-risk children and young adults, to take them out of harms way and, thus,  provide an opportunity for a centre's social workers meet their social needs"

 Tribute to Children Killed During the Troubles

The purpose of this U.S. based organization is to provide recreational and educational resources for kids and community centers in Northern Ireland, thus,  providing alternative programs other than membership in gangs, drug use and violence or to resort to the ultimate despair:  suicide.  Secondly and equally as important, the Group hopes its efforts will open doors of opportunities to peace and cooperation between  Irish youth and many long-lasting ties with their American friends. 

This site contains information about The Children of Ireland Group.  The Group was founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth and offer hope to families who have been directly involved in and affected by over 400 years of conflict in Northern Ireland.   On the following pages, we would like to share with you what we have accomplished so far as well as our plans for the future.  Please stop back to visit us often and spread the word.  Should you have any questions, comments, or suggestions,  please see below for sending an email.  Thanks for visiting!!
